JessicaJessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born July 10, 1980. 1 She is an American actress, singer and charity worker. Simpson, who was 17 years old at the time, began her career in the choirs of churches. She signed with Columbia Records in 1997. Sweet Kisses (1999), her debut album, sold 2 million copies in the United States. The lead single "I I Wanna Love You Forever" was a commercial hit. Simpson changed her look to make her look more mature for her second album Irresistible (2001). The album's title track was her second top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) had certified the album as gold. In This Skin (2003), Simpson's third studio album was sold out in three million copies in the United States. Simpson was famous for her friendship with Nick Lachey and her marriage to Nick Lachey. Simpson also appeared on the reality television show on MTV, Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Simpson made her movie debut in The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce The Christmas Album (2004). The soundtrack of the film also included an original song called "These boots are made for Walkin'". 2006 saw the release her fifth studio album A Public Affair. She was also in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. Simpson started her career in country music by releasing Do You Know (2008) which was her sixth studio album. Alongside her musical pursuits, Simpson launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, a style-focused line that has 34 categories of merchandise. It's the most successful famous brand of license in the history of fashion that has more than $1 billion of sales up to the present. Simpson was also on the reality television series The Price of Beauty in 2010, judged clothing designs for two seasons of Fashion Star between 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married Eric Johnson with whom she has three kids.
